How to Trade ORB

Long entry: When LTP crosses above ORB High — target R1/R2 pivot, stop loss at ORB Low.

Short entry: When LTP drops below ORB Low — target S1/S2 pivot, stop loss at ORB High.

  • Wait for the initial move to complete — the breakout candle should be strong and decisive.
  • Volume must be noticeably higher than the previous day.

  • Price should be above VWAP for long trades; below VWAP for short trades.
  • Volume should decline on retracement candles, confirming the breakout is genuine.
  • Enter above the opening range high (long) or below the opening range low (short).
