What is Relative Outperformance?

Relative outperformance measures how a stock performs compared to its sector peers — not in absolute terms, but relative to what the whole sector is doing. A stock that rises 3% when its sector is up 1% is outperforming by 2%.

How to use this screener

Use Outperformers with Bullish EMA + Bullish Supertrend for high-conviction long setups — these stocks are leading their sector and have technical confirmation. Use Underperformers with Bearish signals for short setups or stocks to avoid.

What is Relative Outperformance vs Relative Strength?

Relative Outperformance and Relative Strength are related but different. Relative Strength compares a stock's performance to the broad market index (e.g. Nifty 50). Relative Outperformance compares a stock's performance to its own sector peers — showing how much more (or less) it gained compared to the average stock in its sector.
